Call for Applications: Falling Walls Lab San Francisco Bay Area 2026

The German Center for Research and Innovation (DWIH) San Francisco invites applications for Falling Walls Lab San Francisco Bay Area 2026, an international pitch competition bringing together students, early-career researchers, entrepreneurs, and innovators from all disciplines.

Falling Walls Lab offers a unique platform for emerging talents to present their breakthrough ideas in just three minutes, answering the question: Which wall will your research break? Participants will pitch their ideas in front of an interdisciplinary jury and become part of a global network of forward-thinking innovators.

Selected finalists will have the opportunity to present their ideas live at the German Hub San Francisco and compete for a place at the Falling Walls Global Finale in Berlin on 6 November 2026.

The event will take place on April 29, 2026, at 4:00 PM at the German Hub San Francisco (101 Montgomery Street, Suite 1400, San Francisco, CA). The event is open to the public, and attendance is free.

The competition is open to students, entrepreneurs, and early-career professionals from all disciplines whose ideas have the potential to create a positive impact on science and society.
