The 2022 Germany Today Program "German Higher Education Institutions and their Role as a Gateway to the European Higher Education Area" will take place from June 19th to 24th. Participants will get the opportunity to visit higher education institutions in Freiburg, Strasbourg, Heidelberg, Karlsruhe, Darmstadt, and Mainz.

Representatives from universities, research institutions and funding agencies in the United States and Canada, as well as colleagues from the fields of education policy and politics are invited to join the "Germany Today" Information Tour 2022. Focus will be placed on the involvement of German institutions in European University Alliances, whose objective is to promote European values and identity and increase the quality of competitiveness of European higher education.

The tour will give participants an overview of Germany's higher education and research system, an update on current developments, as well as details about BA, MA and PhD programs, and information on funding opportunities for academic exchange and institutional cooperation. Besides that, the tour will offer the opportunity to exchange best practices, effective methodologies, and lessons learned between the German hosts and the North American guests.
