UA Ruhr at the IIE–DAAD Transatlantic Workshop

On February 19, 2026, UA Ruhr participated in the IIE–DAAD Transatlantic Workshop, “From Dialogue to Action: Advancing Transatlantic Academic and Research Partnerships,” in Washington, DC. The event brought together representatives from European and U.S. universities and higher education organizations to discuss practical strategies for strengthening transatlantic cooperation.

The workshop focused on key areas such as mobility, research collaboration, funding landscapes, and industry engagement. Through interactive breakout sessions, participants exchanged perspectives on how to build resilient partnerships and align academic collaboration with global challenges.

UA Ruhr was represented by Priya Nayar, UA Ruhr North America's Executive Officer, who spoke in Track B: Research Partnerships, Funding, and Industry Engagement. The session explored ways to deepen transatlantic research partnerships, navigate complex funding ecosystems, and strengthen collaboration between academia and industry.
