Insider Talk: The Absence and Presence of the Berlin Wall

Against the backdrop of German Unity Day and in recognition of the enduring ties between Germany and the United States, this insider talk explores both the presence and absence of the Berlin Wall and its continuing impact on society and democracy today.

The program will feature TU Dortmund alumna Gesche Würfel (visual artist) in conversation with her collaborators - Sarah Alberti, PhD (art historian and journalist), Kay Bachmann (graphic designer), and Alta Price (translator)

Together, they reflect on their creative process in producing the book The Absence and Presence of the Berlin Wall, which combines visual, historical, and cultural perspectives on one of the defining symbols of the 20th century.
