Queer AΦ Europe – Queer Analytic Philosophy: Social Concepts and Categories

On June 16, the UA Ruhr College for Social Sciences and Humanities hosted the Queer AΦ Europe conference, which was co-organized by Nico Orlandi (University of California Santa Cruz) and Tobias Schlicht (Ruhr University Bochum).

The conference focused on cutting-edge work in analytic philosophy that drew on queer experience and theory to examine social concepts such as gender, race, identity, and social emotions. It brought together scholars interested in social ontology and conceptual analysis to explore how social categories arise and what shapes them.
