Sound Understanding Concert 

In April 2026, the DAAD hosted its annual Sound Understanding concert at the prestigious Carnegie Hall in New York City. The concert showcased the young and talented DAAD music fellows from Germany. These fellows, who had spent the past year studying at leading music schools across the United States and Canada, were chosen through a national competition among the top students from Germany’s renowned music colleges.
