UA Ruhr celebrates two decades in North America! This Jubiläum celebration is anchored by the workshop on Science Diplomacy.

UA Ruhr together with our organizing partners - the DWIH - German Center for Research and Innovation (New York) and the German Consulate General New York are hosting a workshop on Science Diplomacy and the Role of Universities.

The workshop aims to explore the vital intersection of science, policy, and international relations, highlighting its relevance in addressing global challenges from our unique vantage point. The invaluable insights and contributions from the expert participants and stakeholders will play a pivotal role in shaping the discussions and outcomes of this event. The workshop provides a platform to examine the opportunities and shared potential between UA Ruhr universities and our partner institutions, fostering transatlantic science relationships and strengthening collaborative efforts in addressing the global challenges that impact us all. We are confident that this workshop will be an engaging experience, allowing us to reflect on our collective achievements over the past two decades while charting a course for future successes.

The workshop will be held on May 9, 2024, in New York City.
